People make me angry. Maybe I should say some people make me angry. VERY angry! But I’m not self-righteous enough to sit here thinking I am never guilty of the very same behavior which pisses me off in others — I know I do. Believe me, I chastise myself, too. My daughter and I have an agreement that when one or both of us is complaining about something utterly stupid, shallow, superficial and/or greedy and are being completely short-sighted, we say, “You know, some people don’t even HAVE ‘fill in the blank’“. We remind each other about how blessed we really are.

So what’s got my panties in such a bunch right now? Well, people like Linda Bollea, who has the nerve to announce to the press, as if it’s breaking news, that she wants her soon-to-be ex Hulk Hogan jailed because — now get this — he hasn’t paid his share into the purchase of a 4.2 million dollar condo in Vegas! WTF??? There are people DYING in this country and losing everything they own due to floods, tornadoes and heat waves, and she’s pissed because he hasn’t kicked in his 2.1 million bucks! Oh no, what a freaking tragedy! NOT! There are men and women being killed in Iraq and families living on the streets right here in the good ol’ USA, and SHE wants her condo! Well heaven forbid Linda shouldn’t get her condo in frickin’ Vegas! Stop the presses, people, this is BIG news! Hulk hasn’t shelled out his promised amount of money to his skanky wife who is now dating a NINETEEN YEAR OLD! I say good on’ya, Hulk!

Linda, get over yourself already. We don’t care!

My daughter received a check for $50 from her brother David for her birthday. We went to cash it today. We went to his bank. The bank from which the check was drawn. We went to the drive-up window. I handed the guy teller the check and said that my daughter would like to cash that check from her brother. He asked if she had an account there. I said no, but her brother, who wrote the check, does (duh!). Guess what he asked me next?

“Do you know his account number?”

Ummm … no, but it’s there on the check (double DUH!) He fiddled around on his computer for a minute or so, then asked, “Do you know any other name this might be under besides Callie?” I was like, “What?? No, the account is in David’s name” (triple DUH!). He then says, “Oh, well you’ll have to go inside to cash this”. Oh.My.God. Fine!

I go in, ask again to cash it, and am told I must endorse it, also, and provide 2 forms of identification. Oh, and a fingerprint. Geez!! I used to work in a bank, people, and it was never like that! I guess that’s what crime and the information age has brought us. A bunch of bullshit.

I have totally done something to my left arm. I have no idea what I did, but it hurts like hell. The pain starts just below the shoulder on the upper arm and goes down to just above the elbow. I can’t even raise it up halfway. WTH?? You know, this getting older crap is is just that - crap! How can you be sitting there all fine and dandy one minute, then stand up and be unable to even raise your damn arm!? How does that happen?

Have any of you been keeping up with the news on Skanky Britney Spears? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I feel SO SORRY for her children! I read an interesting article the other day in the New York Post about all of the throwaway children in this country - particularly in Hollywood - entitled “Funny Thing Is, Britney is the Pitiful Parent”. I recommend giving it a read. I totally agree with what the author had to say!

It’s 2 freaking degrees outside right now (-17C), and due to get even colder later today and Friday! Dayum! Why can’t you Canadians keep your cold ass air up there! *chuckle chuckle snort* (I know my Canadian friends won’t take that personally)

Yesterday sucked in a big way. It was one of those “I sure hope this day goes fast and gets over with” kind of days. One thing after another. After another. I sure hope this day proves to be MUCH better - for all of us. Happy Wednesday.

Two stories to share tonight - two stories which make me sick to my stomach. One is out of Colorado; one is about Coloradoans. Both of them proving once again that human beings can sometimes go lower than the lowest organism on the planet.

Take, for instance, the two Colorado FEMA workers indicted in Louisiana for a Katrina kickback scheme. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, there actually is scum out there pretending to be human, preying upon the weak, wounded and dependent. I hope they get put away for a long, LONG time!

Speaking of the weak, wounded and dependent, who is out there trying to make it better for them day in and day out? Goodwill is! So you tell me, what kind of person robs Goodwill and shoots the clerk?? What kind of lowlife robs from an organization trying to make life better for those who need it the most?? And then shoots the clerk on his way out! The lowest kind of lowlife, that’s what kind. That woman was SO brave! If you listen to the 911 call, it’s unbelievable how calm she is while trying to get help. Keep her in your prayers, okay?

Maybe while we’re at it we should just pray for all humankind. When you see stories like those, you know we really need it!
