It’s been a very busy few days for me. On Friday we went out of town to take advantage of a great sale on clothes at a store my daughter and I discovered last month when we were in Ft. Collins. Hubs came along this time so we could take him to Olive Garden for lunch. We were also going to stop at Best Buy and take a look at microwaves, because ours konked out on us the night before the trip. On the way there we were talking and began entertaining the idea of looking at computers, too, since ours still wasn’t running great even though I’d had it fixed. It wasn’t shutting off constantly anymore, but it was veeeery slow and sluggish. So anyway, my daughter and I did a bunch of mall stuff first while Hubby went off and did his own thing, then we hit Best Buy and ended up with both a microwave AND a computer — and a 320 gig external hard drive!
I was a happy camper, for sure! Anything new I get from an electronics/appliance store is like heaven to me. LOL
The next day — Saturday — I woke up with a cold. Oh joy. I felt like crap so didn’t do much at all until last night, when I finally made myself get to work transferring stuff from the old computer to the new one. That seemed to take an awfully long time, but then again, there was A LOT I needed to move! After that was finished I started downloading all the things I/we needed/wanted, which took a long time, too. I finally went to bed around 3:00AM, completely wiped out. Got up today and felt a little better, thankfully. Hubs got called to work so I finished up with the downloading and installing I still had to do. I think everything is just about perfect now.
Oh yeah, I also watched the Presidential debate Friday night. I recorded it so I wouldn’t miss it. Pretty interesting, don’t you think? McCain’s not so much of a Mr. Wonderful Maverick as he portrays himself to be, and Obama did extremely well in his knowledge of foreign affairs and what he would do as President, just as we, the Obama supporters, knew he would. And by the way, why didn’t John McCain EVER look Barack Obama in the eye EVEN ONCE?! I’ll tell you what I think — I think that a man who can’t look his opponent in the eye is no kind of man at all! How pathetic.

New appliances are so much fun, aren’t they? I guess it would be akin to a man getting a new riding lawnmower or car or something. LOL But yay for us — we have new toys!!
