Did you happen to watch the PGA US Senior Open being televised live today from Colorado Springs? If you did, you saw the very cool bear who darted across the fairway of The Broadmoor Golf Course during the second round! It was right after Hale Irwin missed a par putt on the 12th hole. The big black bear stopped to sniff a few items left by fans, then went on his merry way. Boy I’ll tell ya’, only in Colorado!

I found the comments left on the 9News web site pretty funny. Here are a few of them:

“Just your typical hazards on Colorado golf courses… sand, rocks, trees, water, bear.”

“Tougher in Alaska my ass! Ice Road Trucking child’s play! Try golfing in Colorado.”

“Birdies, eagles and bears… oh my!!!”

“And everyone says how tough the British Open is to play. All they’ve got is wind, weather, and sand traps. In Colorado, the you don’t find the hazzards, the hazzards find you!”

“Probably just looking for food, and heard someone got an “eagle” down there…”

And my favorite:

“That was cool, then they showed a fox pounce on something in the bushes on another hole. Then 2 deer on a hole. When was the last time anyone saw that on national tv for a golf tourny. I love Colorado”
