Tomorrow (Tuesday) our perfectly perfect 3 year old grandson is having surgery at Children’s Hospital in Denver. It’s a rather simple hernia operation, but it becomes not-so-simple when you’re operating on a child with Hemophilia. He will be required to spend the night in the hospital, and will then be discharged the next day to the care of his parents after examination and hefty doses of his clotting factor, but must remain in Denver until Thursday. The hospital is putting them all up in a hotel, which is just so nice. He must be examined each day for infection and internal bleeding, and must receive mega doses of factor. If all is well by Thursday, which I am believing with all my heart will be the case, they can take him home.
We will be going to Denver tomorrow for the surgery, but will return home tomorrow night. I would sure appreciate all of the positive energy, thoughts and prayers you can muster. And thank you!

I’m sure it will work out. I believe in thinking positively about these things all the time. I had heart surgery a few years back and I was out of the hospital in just 5 days and the following day I walked a 1/4 mile and a little further each day after that. So we all start with baby steps and go a little further every day…
