What the Hell?

I had the weirdest thing happen to me last night. I was just standing in my kitchen, when all of a sudden I got a really sharp pain on the top of my right foot. It felt exactly like I was being bitten by something! I looked down and nothing was there, but I kept an eye on it to see if it was going to swell or something, just in case the little scoundrel that bit me had quickly scampered away. Well, nothing happened, so I thought it was simply another weird thing about me. Then it happened again! And again, and again and again! It kept happening for HOURS last night! So now I’m certain it’s another weird thing about me, but it comes close to tipping my personal weirdness meter. What do you think could cause something like that to happen? It hurt like hell, too! It felt like whatever WASN’T biting me had big ass teeth! LOL! I dunno. A phantom spider, maybe? Or no, I know! It’s the pissed off spirit of a spider I killed! Yeah, that’s it. The little turd was getting back at me!

Bwahahahahaha!!!

Hi there, and welcome to Thoughtprints. My name is Leigh (well, actually that's my middle name) and I am a Colorado native, born and raised. I began Thoughtprints almost 6 years ago when I needed an outlet, and this blog became exactly that for me. This is where I vent my frustrations, share my feelings and talk about everything from current events around the world to the things my dogs do to make me laugh. I truly hope you enjoy your time here.

  1. Well, I do believe I will stop killing spiders! The last thing I need are phantom furry things coming after me! On second thought, nah—I can’t live with ‘em!! Hope your foot is feeling better!!

  3. I had a similar thing last night…a jabbing kind of pain in my big toe! Like someone was sticking a pin into the tip of my toe! I’m going to check the house for voodoo dolls.

  5. I have that happen to me. It sometimes happens when I am in bed. It is very annoying. I am guessing it is a nerve.

  6. Robyn, I know, huh! I can’t live with ‘em, either! Plus my daughter is terrified of them. It was just the weirdest thing, though. Stupid spider ghosties. LOL

Lisa, really? I never would have thought about that. That’s pretty dumb of me, actually, since I’m a back problems/surgery veteran. I just never thought about a nerve making it hurt so much in one teenie area like that. Hmmm, maybe a trip to my Chiropractor is in order!

Rox, voodoo dolls! Of course! LOL

Lynne, nope, I’m pretty sure it’s a ghostie spider. ;) An award? Wow, I love awards! THANK YOU!

Karen, I think you and Lisa agree it’s a nerve. That actually makes sense when you think about it. Weird, though. lol

  7. the question is how to kick a spider spirits ass. lol the best way will be to call the ghost busters or ask spiderman to talk to his family.

  11. Could be the beginnings of Restless Leg Syndrome or Peripherial Artery Disease. Probably nothing to worry about unless it keeps happening or get MUCH worse. Hope it doesn’t come back!
The spider ghost idea has merit, too! Try rubbing it with garlic. (Just made that up but come to think of it, it just might work!!!)
    He-he. Have a lovely day.
