Do you own your own domain? Or two? Or three? ;) Yeah, so do I. Have you ever wondered what those domain names are actually worth? While it was very common years ago during the Internet boom to sell cheap domain names for hundreds of thousands of dollars, things have slowed down considerably since then, and it is now very rare to hear of a domain name being sold for over $10,000. It can, however, still be profitable. Some .com domain names are being sold today for upwards of $5,000 in the domain aftermarket. That’s pretty awesome, huh? So you can imagine my surprise when I found that my prismofwhispers.com name is appraised at $4,389.00!! Not that I’m in the market to sell it, but if I were, I could make a pretty good chunk’a change! I never would have known that had I not heard of LeapFish.com. Not only is it a good thing to know what your domains are worth, just in case you do decide to sell, but it’s just plain fun to find out.
