Identified!

Thanks to a tip from the Domestic Geek, I found out that we now know who John Doe is!

John Doe     Jeffrey Ingram

DENVER — A man who doctors say has some form of amnesia has been identified, Denver police said.

Police said the man’s name is Jeffrey Ingram of Olympia, Wash. He was previously being called “Al” until police could identify him.

Several network television news programs aired his picture in hopes of identifying him. As a result of the media coverage, family and friends recognized Ingram and called police Sunday morning.

Ingram remains in the hospital under his doctor’s care. He said he is grateful for the media’s assistance in getting his story out.

7NEWS was told Ingram cried when he was told his identity.

Ingram’s fiancee, Penny Hansen, reported him missing Sept. 14 from Thurston County, Wash. She said she had not seen Ingram since Sept. 6 when he supposedly left to Alberta, Canada to visit his parents. He never arrived and his family and friends said they had not seen him since then.

On Sunday, Hansen contacted Denver police and forwarded pictures of Ingram to them.

A missing persons flier reported that in 1995 Ingram experienced an episode of amnesia during a routine trip to the grocery store. He was located nine months later at a hospital in Seattle, Wash.

How weird is it that this has happened to him before?? If I were him, I’d be afraid to go anywhere alone from now on! But anyway, I’m sure glad they found out who he is. I guess all that stuff about his wife and kids dying in a car accident back in April was all … what? False memories? Makes one wonder about things “divulged” during hypnosis, doesn’t it? But that’s a whole other topic!

You gotta wonder what is up with his brain if he has done this before. Wild.

  2. You’re so right, Rox! I’d think they’d be finding out why this has happened to him TWICE now! That’s just … almost unbelievable. I bet they make a TV movie out of it. LOL!
