If Only

Please take a moment and read about Veronica Gonzales. I wasn’t lucky enough to know her - I really wish I had. My daughter goes to school with and knows her son, J.J. (Julian). I don’t understand why these horribly tragic things happen to such good people. When someone is killed like this, you never read where someone has said “Oh, he was a real SOB, he deserved it!”. It’s always the best of the best. I know it is not designed for us to know the whys of these things ……

but it should be. Maybe it would help us learn the lessons we are meant to learn just a little bit better.

Please keep J.J. in your prayers. Rest in peace, Veronica.

Leigh
Hi there, and welcome to Thoughtprints. My name is Leigh (well, actually that's my middle name) and I am a Colorado native, born and raised. I began Thoughtprints almost 6 years ago when I needed an outlet, and this blog became exactly that for me. This is where I vent my frustrations, share my feelings and talk about everything from current events around the world to the things my dogs do to make me laugh. I truly hope you enjoy your time here.

  1. Hi there. Sad story. One wonders what the driver will live with. Moments like that you wish you could rewind like Tivo.

Just wanted to check in. Take care.

  2. Hi there, Mark. It’s good to “see” you! You’re so right …. I was wondering about that myself last night. What a horrible thing to have to live with. For his son, too. That’s not a memory for any 11 year old to have.

  3. I read the story, Leigh. My heart goes out to all. Too young to die, huh?
