Brain Fart

Okay, I’ve always had my suspicions, but now it is confirmed - I am an idiot! Most of you know how passionate I am about my puppy dogs, right? And I have complained and complained about not having a dog park anywhere in town, or a nice lake or pond nearby where I could take my dogs. So you can imagine by big DUH! moment when I read the front page story in our paper last night:

“Dog Day Afternoon
Overland Trail Recreation Area: Where dogs run free”

WHY did I never think of that place??? I have no idea, other than …. I’M AN IDIOT!! Do you know how long it takes to get there from my house? Ohhh, about 7 or 8 minutes - 10 at the outside. You know how big the pond is there? 5 ACRES!! And guess what? Dogs can run OFF-LEASH and swim in the pond!! How long have I lived here, you ask? MY WHOLE LIFE!! So guess where Callie and I are going tomorrow? YIPPEE!!!!! We’re going to take Cheyenne, and maybe Daisy, too. We’re trying to decide whether they’d be better behaved together, or taken separately. In any case, be assured I will be taking my camera!!!

Now I must figure out how I’m going to apologize to my doggies. I hope they don’t mind having an idiot for a mommy.
