This Is Me, Being Selfish

I have felt guilty for one thing or another practically my entire life. Some of them big things, some of them small things; some of them I needed to own, some of them I didn’t. Guilt-tripping was a fine art in my family. But you know what? I’m sick to death of being made to feel guilty. I’m tired. And you know what else? I’m going to be selfish. I’m going to be openly selfish. So if there’s something you need from me …. or want from me …. or expect from me …. don’t. Because I’m not really here.

Leigh
Hi there, and welcome to Thoughtprints. My name is Leigh (well, actually that's my middle name) and I am a Colorado native, born and raised. I began Thoughtprints almost 6 years ago when I needed an outlet, and this blog became exactly that for me. This is where I vent my frustrations, share my feelings and talk about everything from current events around the world to the things my dogs do to make me laugh. I truly hope you enjoy your time here.

I’ve been a bit under the weather and clean forgot your birthday until it was upon me, so I didn’t get a card to you in snail mail. I’m so sorry
