Oh No, Spiders!
Hi everyone. How’s it goin’?
It finally cooled off here on Monday; lasted until today. Today we’re back into the mid-90s, but even that is better than 110! We even got some rain. That was way cool.
We had a bit of a scare today with my grandson, Brayden. He didn’t sleep well last night at all, and this morning he was crying and crying, as if in pain. My son was called for work (the railroad), which made him very unhappy; he did NOT want to leave when his son wasn’t feeling well. So anyway, his wife called him on his cell and told him that Brayden’s arm and wrist were really swollen, so she was taking him to the doctor immediately. The doc sent her here to Sterling to get an x-ray at the hospital. Guess what it turned out to be? A SPIDER BITE!! A mean, evil spider bit our baby! On one hand I was relieved that it wasn’t anything worse, but on the other hand I was upset because last year someone my sister knows was bitten by a brown recluse spider and went through hell for months! That image has stayed with me all day. Hopefully it wasn’t a brown recluse that bit him!! I’m sure he’ll be fine. I just feel so sorry for him! My DIL said that his little hand is so swollen he can’t even move his baby fingers! My poor, poor boy.
I can’t believe it’s almost the first of August. Why does time have to fly so fast?? In about 4 weeks my daughter will be back to school. I will miss her a lot! I like having her around.
I know she’s definitely not ready to go back! But then, what kid ever is? ;) Her birthday is next month, too. She will become a dreaded teenager this year! *runs screaming* LOL Na, I’m not worried. I made her promise (and pinkie swear!) that she will be a GOOD teenager and won’t drive us crazy or cause us to be put on any medication. LOL Thirteen … holy moly, talk about time flying!!
Daisy is growing SO fast! She has an appt. to be spayed on the 12th. Poor girl. I’m going to feel SO guilty leaving her at the Vet’s office! She is very attached to me (which I love), and I’m afraid she’ll think I’ve abandoned her. *sniff sniff* She’s such a sweetie.
Speaking of dogs (that was smooth, eh? lol), I’m in the process of putting the final touches on a new blog devoted to the discussion of my dogs.
I figured that some of you might get a bit weary of hearing about my doggies (even tho that’s SO hard to imagine! *heehee*), so I decided to make a separate space specifically for that purpose. That way, those of you who want to hear about them can visit, and those of you who don’t (why don’t you like dogs?? lol), won’t.
Please forgive me for not making “the rounds” to your blogs for so long. Believe me, the old addage “out of sight, out of mind” is NOT true! Not in this instance, anyway.
I think of you all so often. I just haven’t been much for “visiting” of late. Know what I mean? Just know that I care so much about each and every one of you.

I really hope the little guy gets all better soon. You know when things like that happen to us big folks… it’s bad. But when it happens to the little folks, well it’s just 10 times worse.
We’ve had the horrid heat this direction too. I swear you could literally fry an egg on the sidewalk. Not that I did or anything, but I just know you could have.
Love you Leigh (((hugs)) and tell Ms Callie that BUG is looking forward to school starting, she’ll be in as she calls it — KIDNEY GARDEN this year. LMAO

spiders!! Ewww, I hate creepy spiders. Especially those evil little buggers that cause pain. Poor little Brayden. I feel for him, and his mummy and daddy right now.
I hope they (Ryan & Cindy)find that spider and squash him flat!!
You’re so right about time, Leigh. Damn, it’ll be Chrissie before we know it.
I’ve had a sneak in (last week) at your new blog for your doggies. ;) Lovely graphics and nicely layed-out, my friend.
