Sadness

I had a very disturbing dream this morning. I dream so vividly every single night, and I really hate it when they’re bad. This one was just …. gross.

Then I got up and clicked on the TV to hear the morning news, and was devastated to hear the news of Carlie Brucia. Her kidnapping on Sunday made my blood run cold, especially when I saw the video. Plus she is the same age as my own daughter, and despite the things I’m sure her parents taught her about strangers (just as I have with my own), it seemed quite easy for that animal to take her. I can’t even imagine the torture her parents and family are going through. My heart and prayers go out to them. And I hope the perpetrator of this unspeakable crime gets everything he deserves!

I know how you feel, Leigh, and my heart goes out to them, also. Cheryl was upset by this too… but her question to me was “You never let me go to the mall alone that young. Why didn’t her parents take her?” She is 21 and still finds herself reaching for my hand when we’re in the parking lot of a mall… mind you, she looks more like 14 than 21.

From what I understand, Bev, she was walking home from a friend’s house. She had called home to ask her step-father to pick her up (as he normally did), but he wasn’t there when she called, so she began walking. What she didn’t know is that he came home very shortly after she had called, heard the message that she was ready to come home, and had gone to pick her up. He literally missed her by minutes. It’s …. absolutely heartbreaking to even think about.

Mothers all over America are feeling the pain of Carlie’s parents. It is so sad when something like this happens.

I just CANNOT get enough of your new colour. If you see me logging in and out it is just because I just LUUUUUURVE the colour.

Such a terrible tragedy about Carlie. My heart goes out to her parents. It’s every parents nightmare.

I had a dream, when my son was 3, that he had drown in a neighbor’s pool. It was so real. It was the worst dream I ever had. I was terrified for years that it would come true. He’s now 25, so I guess it didn’t.

I dream a lot, vividly, in color. And the other stuff… makes my blood run cold. I want to blow his head off.

*tears* hang the BASTARD!! No wait…that would be the easy way out. Toss him in jail for a while with those BIG boys. Then after they’ve finished with hime…FRY him!
That poor, poor, sweet little girl. My heart bleeds for her family & friends. OH God…why are there such monsters?? *sigh*

I went numb today when I heard the news!! I have no children, but I feel the horror and pain for her parents!! Right in front of the camera!! I could tell right away something was wrong!! The way he grabbed her wrist and his other hand in his pocket for something…maybe a weapon.
How horribly tragic!! I teach self defense for women and all she had to do is jerk her wrist and yell at him and run. Resist and run. Dang!!!!

Death is too good for him, this is a case where “cruel and unusual punishment” is appropriate. Maybe pull a Vlad the Impaler on him…stake him out somewhere. This kind of monster deserves no mercy.

What is it going to take to stop this? We all agree that it’s horrendous, unacceptable, uncivilized, un-everything imaginable, and yet it continues.

I don’t even know what to say, Leigh.

I think this situations is absolutely heartbreaking. I’m especially enraged that this man has a police record, but he’s never spent more than about a year in jail!
