Nature’s Nudge

Still bleary-eyed and more than a little grumpy from a bad night’s sleep, I was grumbling to myself as I walked outside this morning to start the car, when my eyes were greeted with a winter wonderland picture; every tree branch, every twig, every bush, being gently hugged by a soft coating of white, turning everything around me into a Christmas card scene. I never cease being awed by such a sight …… the intricate beauty ….. the tenuous and fragile way in which each little crystal is perched upon its alotted branch ….. and then watching as they fall with the faintest wisp of a breeze. Such is life, and the reminder is not lost on me.

I am most grateful.

What a nice surprise to greet your bleary eyes. I had the opportunity to examine individual snowflakes on Sunday while we were parked on the side of a mountain. One at a time they landed on the rubber stripping of the car window and they really did look like microscopic versions of the paper ones we’d make as kids.

Please, please, please keep this layout up for a few days, Leigh! It’s drop-dead gorgeous — the tree, the colors, everything! Go out and do some shopping or go for a long walk….whatever it takes, just leave it up for a bit, please?!
