Wow, Is It Sunday Already?
It was quite an adventure in my house last night. All the animals were inside, which is something quite new to the cat. He’s an outdoor cat, but it was much too cold for him to be out, so we brought him in. Riley loves him, of course, and would play with him constantly if the cat would let him, but he doesn’t. ;) And our 2 Cockers have a love/hate relationship going on with him. Last night some of the hate came out and Sage was chasing the cat all over the house, while Kitty (original name, eh? lol) was looking for a place to go high up enough that the dogs couldn’t get to him. lol Duchess, our bunny, was just very happy to be inside her cage, out of the way of all those canine and feline teeth. ;)
But later, something very cool happened. My daughter was lying on the couch watching TV, when she called to me and said “look at this”, pointing to the end of the sofa. There was Sage, looking all comfy, and the cat, all curled up next to her, and she was licking Kitty’s ear. I couldn’t believe it! They both fell asleep like that for a while. It was the cutest thing!
My oldest son called this morning to tell me he’s very sick with this awful flu running rampant in the area right now. I told him he should’ve gotten a flu shot, and he told me he did! He said that on the news the other night they reported that this flu going around is a different strain than what is covered in the flu shot. Oh great!! *sigh* Figures, eh? Miss Callie woke up this morning not feeling well, either. I think she’s getting it, too; either that, or a very bad cold. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t get too bad!!
Well, it’s warmed up — to a whopping 17 degrees!! Woo Hoo! lol We ended up not getting nearly as much snow as they said we would. We only got an inch or two. I hate the cold. I mean, REALLY hate it. I would much rather be too hot than too cold. Shivering sucks! When I finally talk the Lottery Commission into seeing things my way, I’m going to buy a tropical island! ;)
ANYway, I guess that’s all I’ve got to talk about right now. I’m sure you all found it very interesting. ROFL!
Have a great day!

Well, I can’t say I completely miss living in Colorado! I sure miss the views, though.
Around here, people freak out when we get an inch of snow, and we had gotten kind of used to 6 inches being the norm. I still hate driving in the stuff.

Sounds like the goings on, in a Disney Christmas movie at your house last evening. Oh yessss, what Kim said about living in Colorado. I loved Colorado, the scenery, most anything to do with mountains, parks & views. But you can keep the “COLD”.
One year after I moved to Missouri, some friends and I got this wild hair to vacation in Colorado and take in all the parks we could in a week. So up to the top of Mount Evans we went. It was so nice & sunny in Denver, (we had just gone swimming an hour or so earlier at the motel), but when we got to the top of Mount Evans, we literally froze our tushes off. It was so windy, I thought our car was going to get blown off the side of the mountain, but it was most interesting. I mean the higher we drove up the mountain, the colder it got, and the snow was coming down so hard, we could hardly see to drive. This was in the month of June, so when we got back to Missouri, no one would believe our story about the snow. Good thing we had it on video tape. LOL
Sorry you’re having such cold weather, but look on the bright side… one day before you know it… you’ll look out your window and see the trees budding out, green grass growing, and flowers blooming.

The truce (sp?) your critters called last night does sound rather Disneyesque. Kitty….pretty original, Leigh!
I’m not even dressed yet and don’t plan to be. Looove sweet Sundays like this!
Beverly, it’s a pity you couldn’t crochet in a sauna or something that could ease up the aches. I imagine the yarn would get pretty soggy though.

I Love the cold!!! I am not at all comfortable in hot weather! I cant breathe.
Your house sounds like mine! 2 dogs, 4 cats and a house bunny!! try to get close to the fireplace to add another log, with that kind of a crew all flaked out in front of it!!
