Profoundly Friday
Well, it’s Friday! I hope you are all having a happy one so far.
It is very cold here, and is only going to get colder. Up to 6 inches of snow by Sunday night is forecasted. It’s only 28(F) degrees out there right now, and by Sunday the HIGH is only going to be 19!
It will be interesting having ALL the animals in the house all weekend. lol But I would never, ever leave them outside in cold like that!
I heard something this morning that struck me as rather profound, and it came from, believe it or not, Robert Downey, Jr. He was on the TODAY show talking about his new movie Gothika (which I really want to see, btw, even though it’s not getting very good reviews), and was being questioned about his past problems with drug addiction when he was asked if he continues to struggle with it daily or what, to which he replied, “If you stop fighting, there is no struggle”. Now, stop and think about that for a minute. If you stop fighting …. there is no struggle. Accept things as they come …. adapt …. learn …. grow. “Roll with the punches” so to speak. That’s what that says to me. And yes, I find it profound. Isn’t it amazing how so much can be said with so few words? Like ….
I love you.
(((hugs)))

ughh!! snow!! its 60 degrees here today, and we’re supposed to get snow by sunday. I’m not ready for it…still in denial, I think.
I never woulda thought of Robert Downey Jr. as being capable of saying something so thought provoking. its refreshing.

I’m really looking forward to the first snowfall. This will be my first winter living in a locale where it snows! Yippee!

I told you it wouldn’t last. ;) It’s cold and wet outside today. Not snowing of course, but cold for this time of the year. I don’t mind though; after having warm and HOT weather for a week, it’s soooo nice for the garden. I LUUUV water…in all its forms!!!
))
Hey, guess what?? While I was on the beach for my walk yesterday, I saw dolphins in the distance. Haven’t seen that beautiful sight in a long time. Oh Leigh, I so wished they had of come in closer. I was ready to jump right in with ‘em…clothes and all. lol One day I’m gonna do just that! Swim with the dolphins.
)) I can only imagine how spectacular it looks outside at your place now. Snow is water, too… Just VERY cold water. ;) Keep warm, my friend, and have yourself a lovely cosy weekend. ((((warm hug))))

Isn’t it amazing that the simplest words can motivate us in such positive ways? I hope you are “rolling with those punches”, and as my life continues to get chaotic, I’ll try doing the same.
Keep up with the poetry and art. Your fellow Paxil Rep. Patrick

I’m glad to see Robert working again. How many actors don’t have some sort of an addiction problem, yet they fly under the radar.
Six inches, eh? Yup, that definitely qualifies as The Arrival of Winter! Get out your woolies and put Riley’s little coat on him!
