Look At That Beard!

This is one of the most interesting-looking dogs I have ever seen. Talk about looking like his name! LOL! Hey Rachel, why don’t you adopt him! *wink*

I have a nasty headache. I’m going to go to bed and try to sleep. This crappy withdrawal from nicotine has left me fighting insomnia. It’s such a weird feeling to be exhausted, yet not sleepy. But I haven’t given in — I’m still smoke-free!! Above everything else, I want to be an example to my daughter; to show her that even when things get really tough, it’s worth it to keep fighting and not give up. And believe me, she’s watching me closely, so I really don’t want to let her down.

ANYway, in the words of the infamous George Burns, “Say goodnight, Gracie”.

“Goodnight Gracie”

*grin*

What a sweet boy he is.

Leigh, I’m proud of ya too. You must be feeling some real benefits by now. Sorry to hear about the insomnia though. I imagine it’s tough to weather.

I’m so proud of you too Leigh. I know it has to be hard to just quit “cold turkey”, and yet you are doing wonderfully.

I too am trying to quit something… using the oxygen (O2) so much. I mean I go through so many of those little doggone tanks in a month, I told Gary I was going to hold out until I just couldn’t breathe any more. He grumbled something out, which sounded like… “that’s really brilliant babe, think about it”, while rolling his eyes.

Men… lmao!!! He’s a hoot I’ll tell you, and I wuv him sooo much! *blush*

Anywho, I hope as each day passes, and you’re smoke free, it will become easier and easier for you and the stress and sleepless nights you are experiencing now, will vanish. Take care of you my friend, I love you… and I care about you. As madpoet said… be gentle with you. ((hugs))

I’m happy you are sticking with it, Leigh! You WILL feel much better after getting all that “stuff” out of your system, promise. Love you, Lady!!!

You keep going girl. I can’t be there in person to give you encouragement or hold your hand when you are fighting the urge, but I am with you in spirit and in thought. Each smoke-free day is one step forward to your goal. You can do it.

Keep it up I know it is hard, but the only way to quit is just go for it!! I tried cutting back and it worked until I started adding more and more to it. I smoked 3 packs a day, and I quit 22 years ago, cold Turkey!! I do NOT regret it at all!! Hang in there!! it gets better!!

Luckily, the picture was no longer up. I think my husband would have been traumatized to start his Monday with my pained squeal of, “HONEY! This doggie needs us! So what if dogs aren’t allowed in our building?”
