A Lotta’ Nuttin’

Today has been one of those days where I don’t feel like talking to anyone. About anything. I’m feeling very insolar and rather self-protective. I just …. want to be alone. Does that sound terrible?

My daughter stayed home from school today. She’s caught that icky flu-like stuff and was not feeling at all well this morning when we got up. I hate it when my kids are sick. It’s such a helpless feeling as a parent. Even when my grown boys are sick, I feel that way. I guess a mother always feels like that about her kids, eh? ;)

I am going to begin my pre-Thanksgiving fast soon so that I am sufficiently starving when all that wonderful food is brought out! LOL Oh man … I love stuffing and gravy!! LOL Can you tell I’m getting excited?? *hehe*

Hope you all have a great night and an even better tomorrow!

*mwah*

You would have to mention FOOD… when here it is 3:09 AM (in Missouri) and I can’t have any food until after that test (that was to be yesterday but now is this morning - later) Arrrgh!! LOL

Yeppers, my yesterday was a bit raggedy too. Was glad when it was time to cuddle with my hubby and forget about a “few” things. *wink*

Thanks for being here Leigh… and always saying the right things at the right time. See you later… you have a great Tuesday now, you hear? Love you!! ((hugs))

You know? I think there are two types of people in this world: those who like stuffing, and those who don’t. I would have to say I’m definitely in the “don’t” category. But, I just can’t eat damp bread anything– stuffing, bread pudding, cereal with milk… The texture just…freaks me out. Can’t say why, just does.

Luckily, I get to cook, so, no stuffing for us! We’re having gnocci instead!

Blogging is great for days like that, Leigh. Put a few thoughts out there and go back to what you were doing.

I hope your daughter’s not down for the count and will be better soon. Don’t you go catching it.

I wouldn’t mind a wee bowl of stuffing and gravy right about now. Hmm….

I hope you are feeling better now. It really helps to just go with the flow and be totally alone (if you can) and then get back to being a part of life again. I call them slugging days…days when all I want to do is stay in bed and pull the covers over my head and let the world go by…no thinking, no doing, no nuthin’!

Maybe it’s something with the moon phase, but you’re not alone in how you feel. I plan on raiding the freezer for the chocolate ice cream when I get home. Always makes me feel better. (((huggs))) to you! Hope your daughter feels better!
