I Never Did Like Her

My daughter told me about a conversation she had today with her teacher from last year; I want to run it by you, then you can tell me if I’m totally wrong in thinking this teacher was way out of line, okay?

Callie was walking down the hall with her class when she heard Mrs. W. call to her. When she turned around, Mrs. W. asked her who David’s girlfriend is (she was his teacher way back in 4th grade, too). When Callie told her who she was, Mrs. W. said, “Oh, I thought so. She’s my neighbor!”. So Callie, trying to be polite, continued talking to her and ended up telling her that David and Callie (yeah, they have the same name *g*) are living together now. That’s when Mrs. W. asked the question which I think is way out of line for a teacher to be asking a student — especially an 11 year old student! Actually, I think it’s out of line to ask this question of ANYONE — she said, “Oh really? Where do they get the money to do that?” Taken aback, Callie just told her that David has a job. THEN Mrs. W. asked, “Well is he still going to school? What year is he? How does he work AND go to school?” DUH! Thousands of college students work AND go to school!!! Callie didn’t know what to say except to tell her that yes, David is in school and working both. I just think that is SO RUDE, and TOTALLY none of her business!!!!

So …. am I overreacting??

Just Call Me Mister

I received a promotional gift in the mail today from Albertsons — a Gillette Mach3 Turbo. It’s a razor. A very nice razor from the looks of it. The only thing is, it was addressed to Mr. Leigh Marin. Okay, look, it’s bad enough that I receive millions of emails trying to sell me Viagra and penis enlargement pills, but now a razor in the snail mail addressed to Mister??? lol Hmmm …. either they’re confused or I am! LOL Or maybe they’re just trying to drop a subtle hint about how often I should be shaving my legs!

Some Wonderful News!

CJ is home from the hospital! YAY!! She’s been through quite an ordeal, folks. Why don’tcha mosey on over there, welcome her home, and give her a big dose of bloggy love!

Doctor’s Report

Well, it seems Miss Sarah may have a urinary tract infection, so is under Doctor’s orders to drink nothing but cranberry juice until the test results are in. Also, the baby has indeed dropped some more, and all signs are pointing to her giving birth within a week. At least that’s what the doctor said. ;) So we’ll see.

Funny thing is ….. about 3 or 4 days ago, a thought suddenly struck me that Nevaeh is going to be born on the 3rd. Guess we’ll see about that, too. ;)

I still don’t know who was involved in the fatal motorcycle accident on Saturday. For some reason it wasn’t in the paper tonight. Maybe it will be in tomorrow’s. *sigh* So tragic.

I’ll “talk” to ya’ll tomorrow. Have a great night!

What Do You Think? x 2

I’d like your input on something. My daughter, who is 11 (going on 21), would like to attend the birth of my niece’s baby. I’ve asked my niece, and she said it’s okay with her, as long as I understand that there will probably be some nasty words coming out of her mouth. LOL I’ve discussed it with my daughter and asked her if she thought she’d freak out seeing Sarah in pain and probably screaming and stuff, to which she replied, “Mother, it’s childbirth. I know it hurts like no other!”. See what I mean? lol She’s extremely mature for her age, and can carry on a conversation with an adult just as easily as a kid her own age. In fact, my neighbor across the street once invited her over for dinner (yeah, just her — not me! lol), and they had a wonderful time visiting, just the two of them (her husband was out of town). So I am inclined to allow her to come to the birth. I think it would be an awesome experience for her. Childbirth is a miracle, after all.

The second question I have is, do male dogs under the age of 1 produce semen?? The reason I’m asking is because our Cocker Spaniel, Sage, is in heat, and I know that every time Riley goes outside to play with Sage and Sophie, he tries to mate with her. When I go to the door to let him back in, he doesn’t even want to come in! I don’t think he can accomplish the task, though, since he’s so small. LOL Sage would have to be on the ground on her stomach and stay there for him to even have a shot! lol I did see her go into their dog house a while ago, though, and Riley followed her in there. I just wasn’t sure if he was old enough to father any babies or not — he’s not quite 7 months old. I think a cross between the two would be uber cute!! I guess time will tell, but if any of you know for sure the timetable involved with such things, I’d sure appreciate the info!

Thanks!
