Cinderella Has Nothin’ Over Me

Yes, it’s true — it is I who actually married the Prince. ;) I will give you an example of why, but keep in mind it is merely one out of many!

Yesterday when my Mother went to the doctor, he prescribed yet another medication, and of course it was very expensive. My poor Mom is on sooo many meds, and it is draining her financially (after all, we know how much the government cares about senior citizens, right? yeah, they care so much that they keep taking money from Medicare, and don’t pay anything towards medications!). She was extremely upset and did not know what she was going to do because she simply could not afford it at this time. It is a brand new medication, so there is no generic yet (figures!). It is a drug to help with the circulation in her hands and the veins in her legs. Added on to everything else that’s going wrong with her health, the circulation has now started to deteriorate in her hands and she must have part of the index finger on her left hand removed. Anyway, I was really upset last night when I was telling my husband about it. I was sobbing like a baby, which is really rare for me. I didn’t know what she was going to do — she NEEDED that medicine!

Well, late this morning my cell rang and it was Hubby. He called to tell me he had placed some money in my purse before I was awake and he wanted me to take it to the pharmacy and get that medicine. *tears* So you see, I’m the luckiest woman in the world to have married the kindest, most thoughtful man ever! He has a heart of pure gold (and the patience of an angel, which is why he can stand being married to me! lol)

Now you know why, after 21 years, I am still so head-over-heels in love! Who wouldn’t be?! ;)

That’s fantastic Leigh, I’m so happy for you & your mom!

Isn’t THAT kind of love you & your honey have, something to cherish? Right this minute I’m setting here blog hopping and waiting for Gary to come in from work. Isn’t that just too sweetof me? *grins*

He has to work all weekend & Monday too, but then he’s off for 2 days, so we’ll act like teenagers, because Mallory will be gone, and we’ll scamper around and giggle & get all giddy and make cow eyes at each other… I can’t wait!

Love is all around… hold it tight… don’t let go… no matter what!

    Aww, what a sweetie!

And Leigh, your mother needs to ask the doctor for samples. They usually receive a ton of them for any new medication, and most doctors understand about the cost issue. I’ve known a few that will actually give a full month’s worth of samples. It’s not a permanent solution, but it could help a little.
