Okay, so in the past 5 months, my 49 year old sister had that heart thing happen and had to be airlifted to a trauma hospital; my other sister had her heart thing happen while we were at the trauma hospital visiting her; my friend’s 43 year old brother died 3 days ago; another dear friend just emailed yesterday asking for prayer for her 30-something year old brother who has severe diabetes and was taken to the hospital; my very young 52 year old sister had to have major surgery; and today I just found out that the gal who’s been my hairdresser and friend for years was taken to the hospital with a possible heart attack — she’s 42! A very young and vivacious 42 I might add. So what’s going on here???? Everywhere I turn people are getting sick with really bad stuff! Or bad things are happening to very good people. It’s just really odd I think. I mean, I know bad stuff happens all the time, but this is different …. it’s so pervasive! What’s up with that???

And what’s up with people who brag about their perfect lives, perfect jobs, perfect marriages and perfect children, then have the nerve to call someone up who is experiencing bad fortune and rub it in? That happened to my sister today. But then she tells me through tears, “Oh, she doesn’t do it on purpose. She just doesn’t stop to think before she speaks.” Is that an excuse?? I think not!!! I say SHAME ON HER! I wish I’d been around when she did that! If I had been, she sure wouldn’t be likin’ me too much right now! Yes that’s right — hold onto your hats now, but the truth is — I can be a real bitch!

I’m just feeling angry and disappointed …. and totally disbelieving of everything that’s been happening. I wish I could find the “OFF” button!!!
