…. And Counting

Only TWO more days until I get my little guy!!!! (as in puppy *hehe*)

I need some help picking out a name, though. I simply can NOT decide!! So, I thought maybe you could help me?

Here are the names I have so far. Circle the one you like best:

Riley
Samson
Sebastian
Gus
Strutter (cuz he does lol)
Shiloh

So far, I’m leaning towards either Riley or Samson. So what do you think? Like any of ‘em? If not, do you have suggestions of your own?

I really appreciate your help!! When he gets old enough, I’ll be sure to tell him about all his cyber aunts and uncles who helped pick out his name! lol

naming a new pup is a great experience. i just went through that twice in the last year (Gizmo and Sonnie are my pupps). One of my friends, a trainer for Police dogs, suggest always using a two syllable name. Use one syllable words for commands (sit, stay, come, etc) and the two for his name. It helps them know when you are calling them, as aposed to giving a command.

that said, I like Riley and Strutter!

Don’t ask me for names… when I was younger, we had 2 strays, poochie and puppy…very unimaginative names… Good luck with the naming…love you, lady!

I’d do much better at picking a name if I could see the little cutie. From your picks, I really like Riley and Shiloh with a slight preference towards Riley.

Samson is my trucks name. lol I know I am weird….My car before the truck was named Rex.

That said I totally love Sebastian. I think is so cute for a dog, but maybe you might want to wait until you see the puppy and then you will know what to name him.

Thanks, everyone, for your help!! You guys are the best! And YES, Nicole and Brandy, you can wait to see the pics. ;) This weekend, I promise! Theo, that’s some really great advice — I never would’ve thought of that. Thanks!

So far I’m leading towards Riley, but Sabastian keep tugging on my attentions. ;) Oh well, I guess we’ll all find out soon enough, including me. lol I’ll just have to ask him which he likes better. ;) lol

I still like Riley!! Sebastian is a GREAT name too, but I’d be more inclined to name a BIG dog that. I dunno…just sounds like a name that would suit a German Shepherd. Can I add another name to the list?? Hope it doesn’t make your job any harder. Harpo…what about, Harpo?!!!

OMG, Debbie, I can’t believe you suggested Harpo! I thought of that one, too! Wow … pink and green, the same dog name — we really DO think alike! lol I think I’ve settled on a name now, though. FINALLY! How do you like “Bogart”??? “Bogie” for short. ))

Yeah, Bogart is good. But I think I like Harpo more. But, hey…it’s up to you! He’s your baby and you name him whatever you think suits him best. One day with him and you’ll know! ;)
