The Process Articulated

I was reading Kristine’s blog, Kadyellebee (as I always do), and read her post referencing yet another blogger’s entry regarding the artistic process. Naturally I was interested, so I journeyed over to Eska’s and had a gander at it myself. It was wonderful! I’ve tried and tried to explain to family and friends exactly what it is that captivates me so about my web and art work, with little success in articulating it very well. It’s a difficult thing to explain. Little did I know that Eska had done it for me — and beautifully! But don’t just take my word for it — go and read “Due Process” for yourself! :biggrin

:wave WOW! So now i have the power to affect your layouts! and all the while i was starting to believe what ‘They’ say in the program about being powerless…teehee.

i will never cease to be inspired by the sea…

    “The Sea”

The swirls of foam around my ankles
Toes wiggling in the archaic sands
Minnows darting, carving symbols in the tidal plane

The rising sun on my bare back
Gulls sing anthems of the dawn
Waves rise in the distance, announcing the coming change

I hear it rolling closer, building
Fleeing tides ripping sand and shell away
The sand moves beneath my feet, as the wave hits upon my stance

The salt burns, eyes and nose
Water cascades away from now prone legs and arms
I have been caught unaware, startled by familiar currents

Laughter swells within the sea of my soul
    welcome home…

    Hi Theo :wave

Your poem is so beautiful, and so very true. I relate to it wholly. I wrote a piece almost 2 years ago about my own experience with the ocean.

    The Ocean’s Gentle Roar

Its wonder called to me with silent voice
Igniting a longing deep within my soul
I knew someday I would stand upon its shore
Spellbound, as I watched mighty waves roll

When first my eyes fell upon its beauty
Tears welled, salt mixing with sea air
Speechless as I felt I had come home
Absolute peace is what I found there

Feeling so small in comparison to
    Its breathtaking majesty
I knew I had found my center
I had journeyed back to me

    Emotions beyond description
Traveling down to my very core
Forever I will find tranquil completion
When I hear the ocean’s gentle roar
