Even on Everyday Days
I don’t know why I always fret so much about getting everything done for Christmas. It always, always has a way of working out in the end. And oh my, did it work out!
My entire family spent 2 1/2 hours over at my Mom’s house (she is homebound with poor health), and had a wonderful time! She laughed and laughed until she had tears.
) She said she hadn’t laughed that hard in a very long time.
It was so wonderful to see.
Then we all went over to my sister’s and enjoyed a bountiful feast of delicious food, all prepared by my wonderful sisters!! (well, I made the jello salad LOL). They put SO much work into it, and it was fantastic!! We all ate until we couldn’t eat anymore!
)
After the festivities ended, we came home, then took our daughter for a drive to look at the pretty Christmas lights.
Some of the homes are decorated so beautifully! We enjoyed it very much!
After the ride, we settled in and watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on TV.
I’ve always loved that movie! lol Then right on cue, hubby fell asleep in his chair … lol … so Miss Callie took to playing with her new Christmas toys, and I settled here to share my thoughts, which are …..
Why do we need Christmas to share these wonderful times? That … is the question. I hope I won’t be asking the same one next year. Family …. friends … they are a gift to be cherished, and one whose beauty should be enjoyed often ……. even on everyday days. ;)
Merry Christmas everyone!

well said, my friend…WELL said!
