Enlightenment

Earlier this evening, I was feeling every ache and pain of a long, hard day …. I was thinking about another long, hard day on tap for tomorrow; but after reading the words written by a new friend of mine (thanks mark), I have been reminded of something very important. I am remembering the ear-to-ear smile I brought to an old man’s face, and the laughter we shared; I’m thinking about the open and honest “girl talk” shared with a close friend; I’m thinking about the worry I alleviated in a customer’s voice when I offered to help any way I could; and suddenly … I see today completely differently.

Today …. was a good day.

Hi there, and welcome to Thoughtprints. My name is Leigh (well, actually that's my middle name) and I am a Colorado native, born and raised. I began Thoughtprints almost 6 years ago when I needed an outlet, and this blog became exactly that for me. I truly hope you enjoy your time here.

  1. hey leigh, how are you?

I’m *finally* stoping by to tell you how much I appreciated what you wrote to me. I read it a few hours before going to the hospital with my mother and yet your words brought a warm smile to my face. It doesn’t happen everyday, you know, a “stranger” stopping by “out of no where” willing to give and share and love more than so many people who are just an inch away! And I think that is so precious!

    Thank you.
    love, monica
