Changes
I've decided that I definitely want to change the blogging platform of this blog from Movable Type to Wordpress. If any of you out there have done so with a blog that had a huge amount of content and successfully migrated everything over, PLEASE let me know! I'm really scared I'm going to lose everything. That would be a very bad thing.
My back is whacked. You know how backs are -- one small innocent move and POW, a lot of pain! Especially backs that have had surgery in the past like mine. I'm gimpin' around, trying to take care of it the best I can. Sitting here at the 'puter doesn't help much. lol
Hope you are all having a great weekend so far! :) If you see things go really crazy around here in the next few days, it will probably be me screwing up my site. LOL Wish me luck! *crossing fingers*

Just curious, having MT problems?
Wordpress has an "import from movable type" right in the control panel. Haven't heard if it works or not, but they also have support forums to help if you have problems.
I know the feeling. I was very nervous about moving to Wordpress from Blogger. I finally tackled it this weekend and WOW I'm I glad I did. It went so smooth. I installed the script on my domain then added the theme I already had picked out. Then I used the import feature on Wordpress to move about a hundred posts. I hit the refresh button and realized I hadn't been breathing for some time. It worked like a charm. Now I have two Blogs using Wordpress and I'll move my last site from Blogger very soon.
