Ahh, Pain Relief

I received a very curious letter recently; curious, especially, because I don't normally get many snail mail letters. What I found inside were three packets of Freeze It, and a request that I try the product and review it for you, my readers. Hmmm, interesting. But just what is this "Freeze It"?

Freeze ItWell, Freeze It is a natural pain relief gel containing Aloe, Vitamin E, and ILEX, which is an herbal extract from a South American holly shrub, and used around the world in various health and wellness formulations. The active ingredients in Freeze It are camphor and menthol. OK, I thought, that sounds pretty good, but does it work? The short answer is YES, it works! The long answer, however, is much more interesting.

As many of you know, I participated in this year's Blogathon. By the time the 24 hours were over, I had a shoulder that was so sore, I could hardly move it. The packets of Freeze it I had received were sitting on the computer desk right in front of me, so I asked my daughter to please open one and rub it on my stiff, sore muscle. I am not exaggering, people, when I tell you that within 10 minutes the pain was almost completely gone! I was amazed. It felt cool and soothing going on, and I could literally feel it working. Believe me, it felt very good. I was simply astounded as the pain just simply disappeared. The scent is not overpowering in the least, and dissipates fairly rapidly. Personally speaking, I like the smell of menthol, so it didn't bother me at all.

Comparatively speaking, Freeze It contains the precise ingredients as its competitor, but is much cheaper. That alone is a great selling point, but the way in which it performs is the fact which puts it over the top for me. It comes in both a gel (4 oz. tube) and a roll-on (3 oz.), which I am personally planning on purchasing. Just think how easy it will be to apply using a roll-on! I'm alone here at home a lot, so having the ability to reach those not-so-convenient places on my back would be great. I'd have my little guy Riley do it, but I don't think he's very willing. He sure didn't seem to be when I asked him, anyway. ;)

Thoughts from others

At first, I thought this might be another sex additive potion. Not especially appealing name.

Maybe not, Creech, the pain relief certainly is!
