Delicious Memories

I caught a whiff of cinnamon tonight, and it immediately made me think of two things my grandma would make, which I loved: Ladyfingers and Bread Pudding.

She was a phenomenal cook, and would always make me ladyfingers, all dainty and yummy. What are ladyfingers, you ask? Well, the ones she made for me were toast with butter, sugar and cinnamon, cut in strips lengthwise. Mmmmm. Her bread pudding was awesome. Oh man, I can smell it right now. I haven't had bread pudding since the last time she fixed it for us, which was a very, very long time ago; way before she passed away, and she's been gone for 16 years.

Anyway, isn't it amazing what aromas can do? What they can conjure?
