I want to know why there are SO many very cool designs out there for Wordpress, but hardly any for MT. Movable Type, are you listening??? Do something about this, would'ja?

Yesterday (Sat.) was a very weird day. In a nutshell (it may end up being a very large nutshell, so be prepared), the Retriever forum I've been a member of for years, and actually served as an Admin for, decided (I should say 2 of the Mods decided for everyone) that all members should migrate to a new forum, as the owner of the existing forum has been MIA for quite some time and left no one completely in charge. They're all twittering about how afraid they are that it's going to just disappear one day and they'll have nowhere to go. The domain doesn't expire until November! Plenty of time to discuss any move with the membership, don'tcha think? So anyway, the guy these 2 Mods recruited to set up a new forum for them is my nemesis. There are very few people in this world I truly cannot stand, and he is one of them. He's mean and nasty. Anyway, I told them all I wasn't going to be joining the new forum and wished them well. You know, thanks for the good times and goodbye? Or so I thought. My nemesis and one of the Mods who I thought was my friend, started posting nasty comments to me on the forum. They were also telling anyone else who continued to post there that they were not being "loyal" and/or "committed" to RBO (Retriever Breeds Online), and that if they truly wanted to be then they needed to join the new one and stop posting at the old one. WTF??? Are you freakin' kidding me??!! So you know what I did? I registered my own domain - retrieverbreedsonline.net - found a host, and am going to open my OWN forum, so that everyone knows they actually have a CHOICE in where they go online to discuss their Retrievers! Geez! Talk about Nazi tactics! Needless to say, they're a bit miffed at me. Oh well! So if I'm not around here very much the next couple of days, you'll know it's because I'm busy setting up the new domain.
