CNN is reporting a gunman inside Building #44 at Johnson Space Center in Houston. Police have surrounded the building and are awaiting SWAT's arrival. Some of the people who work there have been evacuated. Unknown is how many hostages there may be left inside.

UPDATE 1:40PM(MST): At this point it looks as though all employees inside the building were evacuated and have been allowed to leave. Details are still developing.
UPDATE 1:57PM(MST): There is now a report that the gunman has barricaded himself on the second floor. His description is as follows: White male, 50 - 52 years of age, blonde hair, glasses, slight build, approx. 5' 9" tall, bluish-gray shirt and blue jeans. The entire JSC complex is now under lockdown.
UPDATE 2:12PM(MST): It is confirmed the gunman is an employee of JSC. Building #44 is now the only building on the JSC complex which is under lockdown and has been sequestered. All other employees of JSC have been allowed to go home.
UPDATE 3:30PM(MST): A news conference is underway with police officials, reporting that shots were indeed fired, but they do not know how many or where they were directed. Contact with the suspect is yet to be established. His age is now estimated to be between 50 and 60. They do not know who he is, and cannot confirm or deny the report that 2 employees of that building are unaccounted for. All other employees of the NASA complex are maintaining a regular work day and will be allowed to leave at their normal time. Developments continue in this fluid situation.
UPDATE 4:25PM(MST): A confirmed report that the gunman and one other person are dead inside Building 44 has just been announced. Two people were being held inside Building 44 by the gunman - one female and one male. The gunman killed the male and then himself. The female hostage was found and released unharmed, although bound by tape. It is believed that the killings took place in the very early moments of this incident. No identities have been given.
