Do you ever watch Extreme Makeover - Home Edition? I do. Every single week. And you can ask my family if this is true, but the first thing I say when they show the finished house is, "Ohhh, look at that gorgeous floor!". I absolutely adore hardwood floors! The dream house I envision in my mind has the most gorgeous dark oak floors you've ever seen! In every room!

The house I grew up in had hardwood floors in the all the bedrooms. That was before it was chic to have them, though. We didn't know what we had until we (my sisters and I) were all grown and gone. I wish we had. I would've loved to have appreciated them like they deserved. ;) Then back when we were buying our own houses, hardwood was not the thing to have (who knows why!), but everything then was carpet, carpet, carpet, so I've never had hardwood since my childhood home.
