Sister Update
Day 2 in the hospital brought news from the Doctor that she doesn't think it is congestive heart failure this time after all. She thinks it may be something else, but is not sure what. She's doing a whole bunch of blood tests, one of which is an insulin study. We found that out by asking the Lab Tech what the blood draw was for. I came home and did some research online and I think I may know why the Doc ordered that test: she may think Kelly is hypoglycemic. Many of the symptoms sound like what Kelly had, so maybe that's what the Doc is thinking. I don't know. I'm just guessing right now. My daughter-in-law is hypoglycemic. She handles it very well with diet. Anyway, we did find out, too, that Kelly has a hiatal hernia. It's fairly severe, too. A different doctor, Dr. Piccard, told her they really need to get it under control before she suffers permanent damage to her esophagus. *sigh* So now we wait for the results on all the other tests.
I want to thank those of you who sent emails inquiring into how she is doing. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers so very much. (((HUGS)))
More snow on the way this weekend. Oh joy. And more arctic cold come Monday.
I'm simply thrilled, can't you tell?
Oh well, this too shall pass, and it can't be too soon for me!
Thanks again for your continued support and prayers for my sister!
Thoughts from others
Sorry to hear, in any case. Hearts seem to be failing wherever I look.
Snow, on the other hand, is coming back with a vengeance.
Love you, all the best wishes to your sis.
