A Teenaged New Year's
I am slowly recovering from a New Year's Eve spent with teenage girls. Do you have any idea how loud 14 year old girls are when they've had junk food and caffeine, coupled with loud music??? Whoa! I may need hearing aids now! LOL I'm not kiddin', when dawn came and they finally all fell asleep, I literally said "Ahhhhhh" when I finally laid my own head down. I smiled and relished the silence. LOL I'm exhausted. I will sleep soon and will no doubt utter the same when my head finds my nice, soft pillow. ;)
Oh yeah, as a New Year's gift the Railroad called all the guys in Hubs' and Son's graduating Engineer class and are forcing them to Edgemont, South Dakota. Wasn't that nice? NOT! They were told they'd have until the 8th before being forced. Oh well. We knew it was coming, so it's not like it's a shock or anything, but it would've been nice to have had an additional week to get their stuff in order, ya' know? At least they're going to Edgemont and not Gillette, Wyoming. Edgemont is only 5 hours away instead of 8, which will make it mucho easier for them to drive home for visits on their rest cycles. No idea how long they'll have to stay, but it will be a few months for sure. I know that sounds like a long time, but when you think about how fast time goes, it will be over before we know it. Well, that's easy for me to say, I guess. I don't have a 2 year old. It will be VERY hard for my son to leave his wife and son. They are his heart, and when he is away from them ... well ... his heart is ripped out. It will be hard on my daughter-in-law, too, being alone to care for Brayden while Ryan is away. I will be here, of course, to help with whatever she may need, and she has her parents there in the same town, but it's not the same as having your husband at home. I hope it goes super fast for them!
Well, my eyes aren't focusing too well anymore. LOL I think I shall head for bed. Have a great Tuesday!

It ain't easy being away from your loved one, the things a family has to do for money, eh? Oh well, it could be worse. It could always be worse.
