That's Really a Word?

I almost laughed out loud today when I saw what the "Word of the Day" was (over in the sidebar). I didn't know Ignoramus was an actual word dating back to 1615!! Wow ... that just goes to show what an ignoramus I am! LOL

I wanna take just a minute to brag about my amazing 14 year old daughter. :) You know what she wanted for Christmas from us this year? She wanted us to give her the money we were going to spend on her gift and let her split it between her two favorite aunts, who happen to be my sisters, by the way. ;) Is that incredible or what? When most girls her age are asking for designer clothes, cool jewelry and electronic toys like iPods, she wants to give her gift to someone else. So, in compliance with her wishes, we gave her the money and she did, indeed, give it to her aunts. I told her how very proud I was of her, and how in awe of her I am. I hope I can be more like her when I grow up. ;)

That's awesome! Does she have any regrets? My youngest is like that. Chops all her hair off to donate it, gives all her birthday presents to charity, it's really surreal when you children morally surpass you! Congratulations on having such an awesome kid!

That surely is amazing for a girl that age.

Did she actually GIVE the money to your sisters, or did she use the money to buy gifts?

Either way... would she be interested in becoming my niece?

Terry, she gave them the money. She decorated envelopes for them. :) I'm sure she would love to be your niece! ;)
