Thoughtprints

I am SO excited!! It actually snowed last night!! Now, you might think it strange for a native Coloradoan to be cheering about snow, but lemme tell ya', it's been a looong time since the High Plains have received snow! We used to get tons of it every year, but the weather patterns have changed so much that now snowstorms are few and far between. It's absolutely beautiful outside right now! It's still dark out or I'd take a picture for you. Maybe later. :)

Guess what today is? My son's 23rd birthday! I really can't believe he's getting so old. Kinda' makes me sad. He came over for dinner last night and stayed to watch TV with us for a while. I began talking about the morning he was born (7:58AM to be exact *grin*). It was snowing that morning, too. In fact, it had snowed a whole bunch a couple of days prior to his birth, and had just kept on snowing. We lived out in the country at that time, and barely made it into town in time. He joined us just 32 minutes after arriving at the hospital! What a good boy! (If you'd like to read the whole story, you can do so here) He actually was a VERY good boy, sleeping all night at just 4 weeks! He was an angel when a toddler, too. We didn't even have to baby-proof the house - all we'd say is "no no" or "don't touch that", and he wouldn't! Ahh, such wonderful memories. :) ANYway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, David!!!
