Smoke the Blog - No No No, That's Not Right

Last Sunday was 3 years since I quit smoking. Yay me! And I know I will never ever ever smoke again! It's a wonderful feeling really knowing that.

In about 3 weeks it will be 4 years since I started blogging. THAT, I can't believe! Doesn't seem possible. Some of you have been with me almost the whole time, too, which I appreciate so very much. I've made some great friends through this wacky medium called blogging, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Thoughts from others

This smoker (::sigh::) salutes you :)

It seems the one thing I CAN sustain in my life is smoking. As for the blogging, I've been doing that for... I guess six years, but periodically I delete and start all over again. The only constant has been the template (Douglas Bowman minima black) but every once in awhile I think I'd like something new.... If we switch templates in blogger, do we lose everything?

One thing I like about finding new blogs is going back to the very first entry in the archives and seeing how and why the person began, what they wrote about. And then I pick through random archives in any given year to see the evolution. (That way, you can tell somebody you've read their archives, which is flattering AND and not far from the truth.) ;-)

As someone who has been there and knows just how hard it is to quit and to STAY that way, all I can say is, "WAY TO GO!"

I remember when you quit and I remember watching the counter on the sidebar count your smoke free days. Wow, time sure flies :)

Hi Leigh... congrats on the anniversary of a very exciting event -- Stopping Smoking. (that looks and sounds weird when you say it. Go ahead say it... "stopping smoking - stopping smoking - stopping smoking". See... what did I tell you?) *laughs*

I'm so happy to have met you out here on the World Wide Web, it's been a pleasure indeed. Here's to at least 4 more years of Bloggin' fanatics. *grins*

(((((Leigh)))))

P.S. Tell that youngin', yours truly here said "hi". K?

Isn't this the last scene from "Blair Witch Project?"

As I recall, they all died.

I'm a stopped smoker myself. Don't miss it anywhere near enough as crazy love. ;)

Nope, Creech - the last scene in Blair Witch Project was inside the scary old house, walls covered in children's handprints, and one of the guys standing in the corner (which of course signified that he was about to die), then the girl with the camera got konked on the head and fell, dropping the camera, leaving us with a cock-eyed view of the dude in the corner. THE END

I quit smoking in 99, I think. I can't even bloody remember, it's been so long, which is a good thing! I can't even believe that I smoked for almost twenty years. Sad.

Good for you for staying quit. It truly is the hardest thing to quit, but the most rewarding!!
