Oh come on, are we really supposed to believe that Mark Foley is an alcoholic??? Riiiiight. Like we haven't seen how politicians spin things! Now he - or rather, his people - are gonna say the alcohol made him do it? Puhleeze! He's a perv and everyone knows it. I don't care how many treatment centers he signs himself into, the facts are the facts and a perv by any other name is still a perv! And speaking of pervs, why are all politicians so skanky? Oh okay, there's probably one or two who are alright, but certainly no more than that. *smirk* Seems to me if you're not an accomplished liar with a couple of really nasty skeletons in your closet, you can't enter the gates of Washington D.C. And those are the people we entrust our country to. Damn scary, ain't it?
So how was your weekend? Mine was uneventful. That's a good thing, in case you didn't know. lol With all that's been going on lately, we can stand a little more of that! The weather sure is nice. Indian summer for sure. Today it's supposed to be around 90 degrees. That's pretty darn hot for October 'round these parts!
George Michael is in trouble again. Doesn't he know he should leave that pot alone? Or at least not drive his car when he's smokin' it? lol Have you seen him lately? Geeeez. I'm afraid the years have NOT been kind to him. Or maybe it's all the herb he consumes. Either way, there's just nothing sadder than watching a has-been try to mount a comeback.
Now this is certainly interesting reading. It's Fortune's annual ranking of America's leading businesswomen. Would you believe Oprah is number 8? She dropped 4 spots from last year. C'mon girlfriend, you're slippin'! lol Highest paid is Safra Catz from Oracle. She brings home a pretty penny - and plenty of bacon, too! To the tune of 26.1 million dollars worth! I could probably handle that. ;) The number one spot goes to Indra Nooyi from PepsiCo. Pretty nifty, huh. Only one woman is under 40 - Charlene Begley, CEO and President, Plastics, General Electric. She's 39. That's pretty damn impressive. Most of them, if not all, are in their 40s and 50s. You know what that means, don't you? It means that since I'm 48, I still have time to become the billionaire I was meant to be. Yeah baby, my time is a'comin'!
Have a marvelous Monday! ![]()
P.S. I upgraded my gallery software last night. It needed it sooo badly! I think I was running the very first version, so it wasn't just old, it was ancient. lol If you'd like to, go take a look and lemme know what you think! :)
