Autumnal Equinox (and other stuff)
Well, today is officially the first day of Autumn. I love the early Fall weather, but I really dislike what Fall means - Winter is coming! And 'round these parts, it usually isn't too far behind, either. It bums me out. The days are so short, and all the trees go naked and all the flowers die and all the cool birds fly south. It's just depressing. Anyway ... Happy Autumn!
You know what I think is amazing? I think this is amazing. Take a look. Go ahead. I'll wait.
Oh hi, you're back. Aren't they adorable? Can you imagine how much they've shared, seen, experienced and endured together? Wow. Now that is really something to look up to, don'tcha think?
We should all be so devoted, eh?
So my son bought his wife a new SUV yesterday. Well, a new used SUV. It's a 2002 Bravada, and it's a beauty! They're the same ones who just bought the new house. You know how you always want your kids to do better than you? Yeah, well, I did, and I do, absolutely, but damn ... I'm jealous!
Maybe I should go live with them and he'd buy me all kinds of neat stuff, too. Ya' think?
Naa, actually I'm very proud of him - of both of them. They're good to each other and they're fabulous parents to my precious grandson. What mother could ask for more for her son?
I've been fighting fleas all summer long. Well, my dogs have been fighting fleas, not me. I haven't had a single one yet.
But my poor dogs ... I've been doing everything I can to keep those tiny little beasts away from my furbabies, and it's been exTREMEly frustrating!
The past month and a half or so I've been using Advantage, and it seems to be doing a pretty good job. I've never had a problem with my dogs having fleas before -ever- so this is all new to me. Do they die in cold weather? Am I going to have to treat my dogs all year long? I hope not. I don't like putting all those chemicals on them, especially my littles, Riley and Pippin. Damn bugs. I have no idea where they got them from, but my suspicion is that when Daisy, Lily and Cheyenne were getting out of the back yard and going on their "adventures", they brought back more than happy memories of a good time, ya' know?
Naughty, naughty doggies.
Geez .... it's after 4:30 a.m. Think I should go to bed? I s'pose. Wish me luck that I can sleep!
Ya'll have a great Saturday!
