A Hairy May Day
Today is May Day! Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers may baskets. We made them every year and delivered them with quiet precision. Or at least we thought we were being quiet. The scariest part was delivering one to a boy's house!! Of course, as we got older, we didn't seem to run away as fast when at a cute boy's house. *wink* Ahhh, what great memories. Do any of you still make May baskets with your kids? We don't. Oh I'd like to, but everyone would think my daughter was a weirdo if she rang their doorbell then ran away, leaving a cutsie basket on their front step! LOL It's too bad when nice traditions like that get left behind, isn't it?
Speaking of my daughter, I think she and I are going to go over to see the new baby after school. I haven't seen him since he was born. I guess Nevaeh was pretty jealous at first, but is a lot better now - except about her grandma! (my sister) She ADORES her grandma, so whenever Kelly is paying attention to Josiah, Nevaeh doesn't like it one little bit! lol
Hey, do any of you watch Survivor? I've been a faithful follower ever since it first began. Isn't Terry an animal? Wow, talk about the bionic man!! Is there anything he can't do??? If you read his bio you'll be even more impressed. I'm cheering him on big time! He gives us "older folks" a great rep! Now, let's talk about Danielle ... and her pits! Did you notice them when they were competing in the immunity challenge?? OMG! I know they can't shave while they're there, but it had only been a couple weeks and she had man pits! Geez! She must have to shave like twice a day in the real world! LOL All of the sudden I'm reminded of a couple who used to come in the store a lot back when I worked there. They were from somewhere in Europe and rode their bikes everywhere. He could speak some broken English, but she couldn't speak any. Well anyway, she didn't shave her legs, like most European women, and of course in the Summer they both wore shorts. Oh man! She had some massive hair growth on those legs of hers! LOL
Wow. I went from May baskets to hairy pits and legs. That's gotta be a record!! LOL Happy May Day!
Thoughts from others
I don't remember May baskets, but then again, I'm from Canada, so maybe that is an American thing?
