Happy Wednesday!
(Edit: Yeah, I changed it back to the nautical style. So I can't make up my mind - wanna make somethin' of it?? *snicker snicker* Just ignore the part about the dolphins and sailboats in the first paragraph. LOL)
So I saw this "Ocean Voyage" theme at The Style Contest and thought it was cool. I adore the ocean! I don't, however, enjoy boats very much, especially not sailboats. But I still thought it was cool, mainly because of the neato dolphins and the great colors!
No, I'm more of a "sit-on-the-beach-and-stare-at-the-ocean-in-awe" kinda' gal. The sheer power and magic of it blows me away! So anyway, that's probably much more info than you honestly wanted or were interested in, right?
Seems there's a Mumps outbreak going on?? I hadn't heard anything about it until today. Oh man, I had the mumps when I was a kid and they HURT!! The woman here in Colorado who has it is 45 years old. That's gotta suck!!
Owie!
My lilac bushes are blooming! And they smell soooo good! I'll try and get a picture of them this week when they're in full bloom. I wish they would last longer, though. The blooms die off so fast.
I love my lilacs. All of my bushes came from my Grandparents' place. Before their property was sold, Hubby went and dug up seedlings for my sister and me, and they've totally thrived! They make me happy.
OK, you guys, ya'll have a great rest of the day!
Thoughts from others
You would think differently of a bay, Leigh. Port Phillip Bay is just beautiful and calm, and safe! :)
I know what ya' mean about the open ocean, though, Leigh. As much as I LOVE it, I feel much safer swimming in the bay.
I'm much happier we live on this side of the Peninsula. :)) If my boys frequented the back beaches I wouldn't feel at ease while they were away.
Lilac bushes...are SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
And because they come from your grandparents' place; just makes them even more BEAUTIFUL and special!!!
