Football Ghosts. No Wait, That's Not Right. Ummmm ....
So the best thing that could happen in the NFL this weekend DID happen - the Broncos won, and so did the Steelers, so Denver will be hosting the AFC Championship game!!
It will be totally awesome, cuz we all know that the Broncos are headed for the Super Bowl on February 5th!!
Hopefully they'll be playing Seattle for the Championship (hi Rick
). ANYway, I'm a happy camper tonight. :)
It was supposed to snow tonight, hence the new "snowy" layout, but I think it slid south of us, darn it anyway. I was looking forward to getting my dogs out into the first real snowfall of the year, but I guess I'll have to wait for that.
Soooo ..... who of you believe in ghosts? Let me see a show of hands real quick.
Over the years I've had many .... experiences. Ones which I would say were supernatural, but lately it's been .... impressive. Not only are things hopping off the wall by themselves (a big picture, to be exact; in the middle of night while I was sitting here at the puter. Scared the you-know-what outta' me!!
), but there have been odors and scents, the best being the scent of my mother. It happened twice in one week. Both times it occurred when my oldest son walked past me. I became convinced that she was with him, which totally made sense since he was going through a very difficult time when it happened. What I smelled was the odor of Icy Hot, which we rubbed onto her back constantly. It helped the pain a little. I wondered why I smelled the odors she carried with her in her last months, but then I did research which told me that when we "smell spirits", it will be the scents they carried with them last. Makes sense, I guess.
The second odor was not so wonderful. Once again, I experienced it twice. The second time, however, it was smelled by everyone in the house. It was always centered in one particular part of the house, and it smelled very much like fish. I searched and searched and searched, and there was NOTHING that could explain the odor. Nada. Zilch. My family and I have always been convinced we have a ghost in the house, and it loves to play tricks on us, but we've never smelled anything, and pictures have never jumped off the wall! I have no idea why he/she became so "active" during that time, but my suspicions are because my Mother's presence was so strong. Do spirits get jealous? Hmmm. Who knows. I just know that it was a very intense, interesting, puzzling, if not a bit nerve-wracking, time. So what do you think? Am I crazy?
Eccentric? One with a vivid imagination?
Or am I lucky. Perhaps unlucky? Let me know what you think!
Bye for now!
Thoughts from others
Now, onto the ghostly stuff...that would explain the (unusual)smokey smell in the room when I went to see Maria (psychic/medium) last month. She mentioned that there was a connection with a grandfather and the outdoors, and how (as a girl)I always LOVED playing in open grassy fields, and to this day I am still like that...LOVE the outdoors and feel a real connection with nature. Well, let me tell you, she was right! :) My dad's father lived on the property right next door to us. We had five acres and so did my grandparents (where my dad grew up with his 3 brothers and 1 sister). Anyway, my grandpa passed away soon after my 10th b'day. He was the one that nick-named me Debberlina. ;) :) Before I entered Maria's reading room last year, I had a feeling that Grandpa Boyle might come through. I didn't think that that strong, smokey smell had anything to do with him, though. I just thought, Wow...this room stinks! lol Geez, what kinda cigarettes does this girl smoke?
Later that day (while I was at the kitchen sink) that very same stong, smokey odour wafted under my nose. It appeared to be coming from the open window in front of me. I asked Randall to come over by me to see if he could smell the scent. He said he couldn't smell anything, which I found hard to believe. He usually has a good sense of smell. I told him it was the very same scent that was in the room with me earlier, while sitting with the psychic. He said don't go thinking any ghostly stuff. Anyway, this scent WAS there and it was EXACTLY the same as what I'd smelt earlier that day. I'd NEVER smelt that strange smokey smell around me until that day. If it was my grandpa, then that explains it! He was a heavy smoker and he used to smoke rollies. Ya' know...roll his own cigarettes. And from what I remember...they used to stink! lol
Thanks for sharing your recent ghostly encounters, Leigh. I think this confirms that my grandfather was with me that day. :)))

Ghosts? I don't really know what I believe. I do believe in an afterlife. So I guess after that, anything is possible... I have no personal experience, but keep an open mind.

Naaaah, smells are just coincidental. The last thing I want is for my family to think I'm completely NUTS!!!
"What pills are u on, Mum?" askes Andrew. LOL
Um, a Vitamin B and one natural fish oil capsule a day! ;)
