Some Memories Never Fade

I just had to share this story with you. It's about a local man, now 81 years old, who was serving with the United States Navy in Pearl Harbor on the day the Japanese attacked. It is one of the most moving accounts I've ever read. God bless him.

I read that story Leigh and might I add... it's heartwarming in its own way, that he chose not to tell it then, but now. I was crying through it, wondering how my ancestors felt when all the bombing was going on.

P.S. Hope you & your family get to feeling better SOON! Only one of us blog buddettes can be out sick at a time, you know? *grin*

Love you Leigh... MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Pearl Harbor was definately a devastating event in our history. It serves to remind us what can be taken from us so easily and why our military is always at the ready to protect and to serve. God Bless them all.

Now I remember Dec. 7th with a smile - 12/7/2004 my first Grandbaby was born...such a sweet little gift.
