How many of you love John Lennon? C'mon, let me see a show of hands. Well I do! I know, his politics were .... interesting, and the way in which he chose to articulate his ideas and ideals were sometimes .... non-traditional, but let's not forget we're talking about the 60s and 70s! Everything was non-traditional back then! There is just something about him and his amazing music which resonate so deeply within my spirit. I was reminded of that again the other night when I saw a documentary about him on HBO. It was called "Imagine: John Lennon". I highly recommend you try to catch it! I'm sure it will be shown a few times between now and the end of the year, considering the 8th of December will mark 25 years since his death. What a remarkable human being he was; so .... simply complicated. Does that make sense? The one thing he wanted most his whole life was to be loved and accepted. I know, I know, that's what we all want, but for some of us the need is painfully felt, as I think it was for him. Go visit the web site - it's awesome! I spent about 2 hours there the other night after I watched the documentary. I went to bed wondering about the wonderful music, art and messages of peace and love we've missed out on these last 25 years. It is so very sad.
