I Finally Did It!
That's right, I finally did it. I finally got a little selfish and splurged on myself! And oh my, was it FUN!! *snicker snicker* What is it that I did, you say? Well, thank you for asking; I'll be more than happy to tell ya'! LOL I spoiled myself, you guys! TOTALLY! I went out and bought my dream refrigerator, a way cool microwave (in white), which replaces the one Tony surprised me with TWENTY years ago, and an awesome new dishwasher!!! Oh man, I canNOT tell you how excited I am!! I have always wanted a refrigerator with an ice maker and water in the door, and now I have it! When we heard the first ice cubes fall into the bin, Callie and I thought maybe we should document it! LOL!! I am just so jazzed, and am having a ball with my new stuff! It's great being selfish once in a while! ;)
Now, in other news .. *wink* .. Miss Lily was spayed on Friday and is doing just fine. :) The first night was a bit rough for her. She and I didn't get much sleep, but that's okay - after all, the poor girl just had a hysterectomy for pete's sake! lol It always amazes me at how fast animals recover from things. I wish we humans could do it like that!!
Stay tuned, you guys ..... tomorrow (or should I say later today? *g*) I will be posting the first part of "The Honeymoon". No, I haven't forgotten! ;) I'm also going to drive past Mom's house and see if the kids have moved in yet. I think they were planning on doing it this weekend. If I think I can handle it, I may even knock on the door (won't that feel weird!) and say hi. :)
We celebrated my great-niece Nevaeh's first birthday last Tuesday. For those of you who have been visiting here for a while, you will remember how excited I was when she was born. I can't believe it's been a whole year already!! She managed the "initiation" quite well, too. You know, the initiation? The one where the new one-year-old gets to dig into a big piece of cake with both hands? Yeah ... she did a bang-up job! LOL I took a pic for ya'!
I wish you could see all the cake and frosting on her more clearly - it was a real hoot! lol
Speaking of NayNay (that's her nickname *g*), she just so happens to be sleeping a mere 6 feet or so from me at this very moment. :) She is spending the night with us tonight. She took 12 steps earlier!!! She is just soooo cute!! :)
Brayden had the painful experience of being circumcised last Tuesday, too. :( They had to wait until the test results came back regarding the hemophelia thing, which is a real pity since it is much harder on them when they are older - even just a few weeks older. Suffice it to say that he had a couple of very nervous and worried parents for a couple of days! He's doing much better now, though. :) And the little dickens already weighs almost 10 pounds!! I just knew he'd get big fast, and he is! After all, he has to grow into those big hands of his! ;) I'll get more pics the next time I see him, I promise.
Well, I'm gonna go to bed, now that it's nearly 1:00 a.m. *smirk* Hopefully my mind and body will be in agreement with my notion of visiting dreamland. ;) Remember, Part One of "The Honeymoon" coming later today! :)
Thoughts from others
now that is an interesting microwave and I am jealous. *lol*

And I can't believe little Nevaeh is a year old already -- how in the world did that happen? What a cute picture of her.
I hope Brayden and Lily are feeling better and recovering nicely. It's so rough seeing such little ones go through that pain.
Now I could really go for a piece of that cake right about now. Happy Sunday, Leigh.
