Olde-Fashioned Goodness
Hi, everyone. :) How's it goin'?
It's goin' okay here. My sisters and I have been busy trying to finish up clearing out Mom's house. We enlisted the help of my Hubby, son and nephew over the weekend to move the heavy stuff.
It's so amazing going through the things we find. Memories long-forgotten come flooding back, and it is simply unbelievable how vivid they are! As difficult as it has been, it has also been fun and amusing at times. And speaking of fun and amusing, we found a little hard-back notebook of my Grandmother's which says "Memorandum Book" across the front in fancy gold script. When I opened it, I discovered an account of our Grandparents' honeymoon trip in 1928, written all in Grandma's hand. It made me smile inside and out, laugh right out loud, and even get all teary-eyed at times. I was thinking that I might share some of it here with you in "installments". What do you think? Would you enjoy reading it? Or do you think it's only fun and interesting to me because it's about my grandparents? Let me know in the comments if you'd like me to share it, k? :)
I'm worried about my son, David. He's having what I believe to be a "relapse" of the West Nile Virus he contracted about 7 weeks ago. He began running a fever again tonight, and is complaining once again of headache, sore throat, body aches and a back ache, just like when it all first started! The Doc said if this happened he should go back in to see her, so I told him he was definitely going tomorrow, to which he replied, "We'll see". Grrrrr! MEN!! lol He said he wants to wait a couple of days to see how he feels. Double Grrrrr! Then he said, "Besides, I have a haircut appt. tomorrow", like that's way more important! Triple Grrrrrr!! Yeah, well ... HE'S the one who's gonna see - what Mama says goes!! ;)
Well, I'm gonna head for bed. Hope ya'll have a wonderful Wednesday! :)
((((huggers))))

As for Mr. We'll See, best he get his butt back to that doctor and quit messin' around. This doesn't sound like something to be cavalier about, though I'm sure he'll see it your way. Moms are goodl like that.

As for the Memorandum Book, that sounds like a treasure, looking forward to reading it if you do share. ((hugs))

I think that you should share the passages of the book, not because anyone else would want you to, but because it touched your heart to do so.
As for your son...he sounds like a typical male.
