A Card By Any Other Name ...

My sisters and I share this weird kinda' psychic card-buying thing, where we oftentimes end up buying the exact same card for a celebration or event completely independent of one another. One time when my oldest sister was living down in New Orleans, and my other sister was living in Colorado Springs (I was still here in our hometown), all 3 of us sent the exact same card to Mom! Now you gotta' admit, that's kinda' freaky! LOL Well, it only seems right that Mom's passing should benefit from our strange card phenomenon thing, don'tcha think? Today I received 2 sympathy cards in the mail: one from Hubby's brother and kids who live here, and one from Hubby's best friend and family who live about 100 miles from here -- they were the exact same card. lol I had to laugh.

That totally made my day. ;)

Thoughts from others

That is really unusual.
Maybe your Mom just fit those cards.

MAybe Hallmark needs to increase thier selection of Sympathy cards HUH?

I really Love today's header. That is so pretty!!! I wish I was as talented. It takes me a week just to find the color line so that I can change the background color. Do you make these up yourself or do you use blogfrocks or something like it?

Mary Lou, thank you, I'm glad you like it. :) To answer your question, I make them myself using Paint Shop Pro and a little imagination. Things seem to hit me late at night. LOL Hmmmm ... I wonder what that says about me. ;) lol

It says you're an intelligent creature of the night. Nocturnal! Geez, you're not a vampire are you?? lol

Debbie, it's so funny you said that, because when I was typing the other reply, I almost put that I am a vampire! LOL! But no, I couldn't be, cuz I LOVE garlic! LOL!

*going to check my teeth*

Leigh, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I've been very lax in my reading lately! I hope your Mother's Day goes well, and I'll be thinking about you.

I saw the picture and knew right away it was your mother! I recognized the beautiful head of hair. What a lovely woman she was!! Happy memories for mother's day to you!!

lol You're too funny Leigh. No fangs? *giggle*

Hey, her picture is gone, did you take it down on purpose or is my dial up really sloooooooow?

Well, Mary Lou, I took it down for a while. For some reason -- and I'm not exactly sure why -- it just felt like the right thing to do for now. It's 2 weeks tonight since she passed on. Feels more like 2 months with everything that's happened. I still can't believe it. Sometimes it hits me so hard I don't think I'll ever stop crying. But anyway ... I'm sure her picture will be back ... sometime. (((((Hugs))))) to you for caring! :)
