The Magic of Babies

Well, Spring has sprung, so I decided to decorate with something a little more appropriate to the season. ;) I adore Spring and am hoping that along with the revitalization of the earth, blessings will follow -- for us all.

Mom is about the same. They're now saying that they think she may have had a heart attack. We will know more after her tests on Tuesday. Last night my niece went to the hospital to visit her and took my great-niece along (Mom's first great-grandchild *grin*); the change in her (Mom) attitude was palpable! She became so much more at ease, and began smiling a lot and joking around. It was great fun. My sister and I were laughing so hard at one point that my Mom told us to "pipe down" -- oh boy, did that ever bring back memories of childhood! LOL She was always telling us to pipe down when we were kids. LOL ANYway, after a shaky day yesterday, the evening turned out much better for her. :)

My daughter has been very sick the last couple of days. Just an ordinary virus, except for an asthmatic it turns into something much more serious. We had her at the E.R. last night so she could receive inhalation treatments to help ease her breathing. I can handle almost anything the kids get pretty well, but when it comes to them not breathing well, I worry like hell. She was still running a fever today and wheezing a lot, but tonight she turned the corner and began getting a lot better. I am so happy! Maybe tonight we'll all actually be able to get some sleep! *crossing fingers*

I hope the weekend has brought you many smiles, lots of laughter and beautiful Spring weather! :) Happy Sunday! :)

Thoughts from others

The new look is beautiful, I like it a lot! :)
Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. *BIG HUGS*

Love this color! ^_^ and yes, I agree about babies... Glad Mom was more cheerful, that will help her recovery. Love you both.

Sharing a belly laugh like that and being told to "pipe down" is the best medicine of all for you. Kids and animals...they never fail to put a smile on your face.

Happy Sunday to you, too, Leigh and what a beautiful blue it is in here! A cheery blue

There is nothing like Spring to lift one's spirits and I am pleased you were able to have a good laugh. Sending blessings your way and wishes for a speedy recovery to your mum and Callie. xoxoxoxo

I am so glad that your Mom is better!! Maybe it is time to take a real close look at the home she was in...sounds like they were not giving her the care she needed. I discovered when my Dad was in one that they do not see a Dr every day, only once a month! and they billed us a GRUNCH for that 1 time a month visit. I yanked him out of there and we brought him to a home closer to Phyllis and I until he could come Home to my place.

personally, while i like the new look, i am partial to those graphics of 'flowers' of the female gender... --snicker--

as for the family, prayers continue for your mother and all who care for her, for your daughter and her healing, and for you.

peace.

lol I used to get that too, Leigh..."pipe down!" lol I'm so glad you had such a good time laughing and joking with your mum. :))) So sorry to hear about poor little Callie's asthma attack. Hope she's doing HEAPS better now, and is able to enjoy the rest of her weekend.

@ you being told to pipe down. My Granny used to say... "Candy (CJ), if silence was GOLD, you'd be in the poor house!"

I'm so glad to read that your Mom is feeling a little better and I can almost see that weight on your shoulders being lifted a bit... that's wonderful!

Give Mom a hello and I hope you and Callie are feeling better... give each other a hug from me.... take care... love you Leigh (((hugs)))!!!

You site looks absolutely like Spring. Hope everyone is feeling well. You've had a lot to handle.

Oh, and babies are my favorite people

I'm glad your mom is better. My mom used to tell us to "pipe down". Now just where did they get that phrase?
I like your new look!
