*Sigh*
Mom is about the same. The only improvement I can readily see is that she is eating much better, which is a very good thing. She was hardly eating anything before she entered the hospital.
Apparently the fluid she was carrying around in her body caused some congestive heart failure, which in turn caused damage to the heart itself. She is scheduled to have a bunch of tests on Tuesday next week, so we will know more then. She has had an echocardiogram, but I do not know the results of that yet.
Tragedy struck our little town today. I worked with Kayla's brother; Sam is the son of a prominent doctor. Things like this just don't happen here. I think the whole town is in shock. I know I am. Please keep Kayla in your prayers.
I'm exhausted. I'm going to head for bed. Thanks again, you guys, for always being here for me to talk to. I wish I could meet each and every one of you in person. Wouldn't that be a hoot? ;) Have a happy Friday, k? :)

You have our best wishes - always, but especially in these hard days.
My very best to your Mom. Glad she's doing a little better.

We should all pick a place somewhere in the middle and have a big party. What fun it would be!!

Such sad news about those 2 young people, though. :(

So sorry to hear about the tragedy in your town. I hope Kayla heals fast. What a horrid thing for her to go through!

I have twin boys with asthma, so I understand your worries. It is so different when it is your child and not you.
I am glad your mom responded so well with her first great-grandchild! I think that is so special!
