Question #6
My beautiful friend, Debbie, wants to know: Were you and Tony married in a Church? Or a garden setting?
Neither. lol
We wanted a very small wedding. Remember, I had been married before. Ryan was to be our ring bearer, which he was terribly excited about -- until it was time for the ceremony -- then he decided he'd rather be outside playing! LOL!
We planned to be married in the home of a friend of ours, and then have an outdoor reception. I was so excited! The weather had been perfect for days on end, and I just knew it was going to be beautiful!
NOT! lol
Oh, the wedding was! It was lovely! We had both my sisters, my Mother, his parents, and our 2 best friends were Maid of Honor and Best Man. It was perfect. :)
Then came time for the reception. We had the entire family invited! And believe me, that's A LOT of people when you're talking about Tony's side!! So ... of course it RAINED!! It hadn't rained for TWO weeks, until that day!! The wind began blowing so hard! And then I realized -- the cake hadn't arrived!!!! I ran to the phone and called the woman who was doing our cake, and when she answered I said, "Is there a problem with the cake??" She replied, "No. Why?" And I said, "Well, it was supposed to be here an hour ago!" And you know what she said? "Oh, was that TODAY??? I thought it was tomorrow!" OMG!!! lol She promised that all she had to do was decorate it and she'd have it right over. In an hour. lol So anyhoo, we told all our guests and they were fine with it, cuz we had kegs of beer! LOL So they drank! LOL The cake arrived, the weather died down enough to be tolerable, and the reception turned out GREAT!! :))
The funniest part of the whole thing? When it came time to throw the bouquet and garter belt, I went first. The breeze, still blowing some, kind of caught it, but it turned out okay. Then it was Tony's turn. lol He through the garter, and the wind caught it, and it just floated ........ sloooowly ......... doooown ......... and all the guys who didn't even want to catch it in the first place just stood there ........ watching ......... and I'll be darned if that garter didn't make a perfect bullseye around Tony's cousin's nose!!!!!! ROFL!! It was SOOO funny!!!! Ohhhh man ... I wish I had a picture of that!!! LOL!
