Li'l Bits'a stuff
I've had absolutely nothing to say all day. lol Well, nothing worth blogging about, that is. It was a good day (for a change *smirk*). I actually have a real sense of excitement in the pit of my belly, and I don't even know why. I'm hoping it's because something wonderful is going to happen! *crossing fingers* Maybe I've just had too much caffeine. lol
Did you ever lose a pet as a kid? Devastating, isn't it. My daughter had her best friend over to play this evening. They had a grand time, as usual. (I just love listening to them giggle and laugh!) Well, it was time for Mandy to go home and her parents came to pick her up. Shortly after she left the phone rang, and it was her calling for my daughter. I could tell she'd been crying. She called to tell Callie that when they got home, her kitty cat was lying in the middle of the street. He'd been run over by a car in the short amount of time it took for her parents to come pick her up and drive home again. I feel sooo sorry for her. She really loved that cat. His name was Mole. They named him that because he had a little black spot on his face that looked like a mole. Poor kitty. :(
I couldn't help but listen in on my daughter's end of the conversation. She was so supportive and loving. It made me feel really good inside to hear her being such a good friend. Made me proud, too. :) It's gratifying as a parent to see first-hand that some of the stuff you've been trying to drill into your kids has actually sunk in! ;)
Yes, as you can see, I've changed the layout yet again. lol I really had fun making this one! Sorry if my constant changes make you dizzy!
Guess that's about all my brain is going to spill forth at this time. ;) Have a great Thursday, everyone! :)
Thoughts from others
When Cheryl(now almost 21) went to kindergarden, there was a downs syndrome boy who was sitting there, alone, away from all the other kids. She didn't think twice about going over and playing with him... I was the proudest parent there... still am, they have kept in touch all these years.
Love you, Lady!
