Even on Everyday Days

I don't know why I always fret so much about getting everything done for Christmas. It always, always has a way of working out in the end. And oh my, did it work out! :)

My entire family spent 2 1/2 hours over at my Mom's house (she is homebound with poor health), and had a wonderful time! She laughed and laughed until she had tears. :)) She said she hadn't laughed that hard in a very long time. :) It was so wonderful to see. :)

Then we all went over to my sister's and enjoyed a bountiful feast of delicious food, all prepared by my wonderful sisters!! (well, I made the jello salad LOL). They put SO much work into it, and it was fantastic!! We all ate until we couldn't eat anymore! :))

After the festivities ended, we came home, then took our daughter for a drive to look at the pretty Christmas lights. :) Some of the homes are decorated so beautifully! We enjoyed it very much! :)

After the ride, we settled in and watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on TV. :) I've always loved that movie! lol Then right on cue, hubby fell asleep in his chair ... lol ... so Miss Callie took to playing with her new Christmas toys, and I settled here to share my thoughts, which are .....

Why do we need Christmas to share these wonderful times? That ... is the question. I hope I won't be asking the same one next year. Family .... friends ... they are a gift to be cherished, and one whose beauty should be enjoyed often ....... even on everyday days. ;)

Merry Christmas everyone! :)
